About Nolan Grunwald

Nolan Grunwald offers high-performance private coaching for sport karate athletes who want to compete at the highest level. As a 12× NASKA World Champion and the #1 ranked ISKA competitor in both Traditional Weapons and CMX Weapons, Nolan provides personalized private lessons designed around the needs of each individual student.
Private lessons are built for competitors of every level — beginners just entering the tournament circuit, intermediate athletes refining their form, and advanced competitors chasing national and world titles. Whether a student is focused on traditional forms, weapons, creative and extreme (CMX) divisions, or tricking and athletic movement, every lesson is tailored to their current skill level and competitive goals. Training covers technique and execution, stage presence and performance, competition preparation, and the athletic development needed to perform under pressure.
Nolan currently competes with Team Competitive Edge and coaches two teams at his home dojo, giving him firsthand experience working with athletes across a wide range of ages, skill levels, and competitive divisions. That experience shapes his approach: focused, one-on-one attention that identifies weaknesses quickly, reinforces strengths through repetition, and builds the confidence and competitive edge athletes need on the floor. His goal is to help the next generation of sport karate competitors reach their full potential — both on and off the competition mat.
